Here's the Background and the Way I Turned a Little Weasel Crook Into a Mission for Homeowners Like You and Me.

Like most people it started out simple enough. I had a small leak in the roof of my home.

Not a big deal really, just needed a little work and my gutters hung, simple right?

Well that's what I thought and I hired a guy who seemed really good. He definitely new the right words to say and how to push my buttons to convince me he was an up and coming contractor.

We agreed on a very fair price for both parties and the next day he came over and went to work.

He almost, I say almost as you will soon see...

He almost finished the job, but needed some money to cover expenses and to pay his helper. He said he would be back the next day to finish up a few odds and ends.

Thinking this guy has been really great kept his word so far and his argument seemed logical, I wiped out a check and said I'll see you tomorrow.

A year later I'm still waiting for that guy to come back. 

My gutters are falling off the house my roof is leaking like a sieve and the damage that dude cost me is a whole heck of lot more than the money I saved hiring him.

Now I don't know about you but there are some things you just don't want to mess around with. A man's wife, his family or the roof over his head.

Men in general are pretty laid back and can be in a fight one minute and good friends the next but...

Everyman has a line you simply must not cross.

Mess with my house and the roof over my families head and BUDDY you've messed up.

So there I was house falling in and a head packed full of  marketing knowhow.

You know what happens when you screw with someone who knows how to weave words and create a buzz better than CNN.

Well I've got a little sign for you "OUT OF BUSINESS"

It occurred to me that I may never see that guy again and he may even go around town ripping other people off.  

Just to get enough cash to get him through his next fix...But if I have anything to do with it you better believe it ain't gonna be you.

My plan was simple.

I'll go out there and find the best darn roofers in Atlanta and dare anyone with an ounce of common since to hire anyone other than the people I recommend.

The plan. Of course started with finding quality roofers. 

Believe me I almost gave up on the plan two weeks in. If I met another Billy Bob beside his pick up in the Home Depot parking lot the game was gonna end before it even started.

Luckily for you I stuck it out and the quality guys began to line them selves up like a flock of Canadian geese flying south for the winter.

Step two in the plan teach people how to spot a crook and give them a handful of back breaking two bit criminal busting questions that would make hustler's and neardo wells cry and shake.

This step was tough, but like I said the quality guys were lining up and I was learning everything I could about what a quality roof was made of. 

No body who bought a roof from me was gonna get ripped off and you better believe they would have a standard so high few roofers could begin to compare.

Can you say thinning the herd?

The final step was marketing and putting the right information in the hands of people just like you in need of a quality roof.

What happened was amazing.

I'm talking avalanche. People all over the city were wanting me to help them put a roof over their head.  

Fact is it worked so well they were practically climbing the roof themselves to rip the shingles off so I could come out there and take a look.
